Special Education Teacher - Lincolnton, NC

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching certification with Special Education endorsement
• Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Proven ability to differentiate instruction and utilize a variety of teaching strategies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with staff and families
• Understanding of current special education regulations and best practices

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with exceptionalities, adapting lessons to fit individual learning plans
• Develop, write, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
• Utilize data-driven approaches to assess student progress and modify instruction as needed
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom community where every student feels valued and supported
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and allied professionals to share student progress
• Participate in professional development and ongoing learning relevant to special education
