Desired Qualifications:

• Active teaching certification in Special Education (K-2 or equivalent)
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or in an EC/resource classroom
• Solid understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and related documentation
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teaching assistants and general education staff
• Strong organizational abilities and flexibility to adapt interventions for diverse learners
• Ability to foster an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and academic support to students in grades K-2 within a general education setting
• Collaborate closely with an EC Teacher’s Assistant to modify instruction and support students’ unique needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring all goals are met appropriately
• Communicate regularly with caregivers and other school staff regarding student progress
• Use evidence-based strategies and interventions to promote student growth and engagement
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulatory guidelines
