Special Education Teacher - Lincolnton, NC

Seeking a highly motivated Special Education Teacher passionate about making a meaningful impact in elementary education. This contract opportunity is perfect for an educator who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to start immediately. You’ll provide support for a small group of 7-8 students in an adaptive Exceptional Children (EC) classroom, working alongside two dedicated paraprofessionals to deliver high-quality, individualized instruction. The position runs full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, through the end of May.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid North Carolina Adaptive EC License required
• Prior experience in an elementary adaptive SPED setting strongly preferred
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs aligned to student needs
• Skilled in differentiating instruction and classroom management
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver adaptive lessons tailored to individual learning needs
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals to support student growth and engagement
• Monitor progress and document achievements in alignment with IEP goals
