Special Education Teacher | Litchfield Park, Arizona

Step into a meaningful contract position supporting K – 3rd grade students in a resource classroom setting. This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and individualized support to a caseload of approximately 30 students. You’ll help young learners develop foundational academic and social skills while collaborating with other professionals in a positive school environment. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, providing a consistent experience for both students and educator.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility for certification)
• Proven experience or training in special education at the elementary level
• Ability to effectively manage and support a diverse caseload
• Strong communication skills, especially when working with parents, staff, and students
• Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and specialized instructional strategies
• Adaptability and a collaborative work style

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction, accommodations, and interventions within a resource classroom for grades K – 3
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Assess student progress, modify instruction, and document outcomes
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams, supporting each student’s growth
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education requirements
