Special Education Teacher | Little Elm, Texas

This contract role offers consistency, as each educator is assigned to a single elementary campus with a manageable caseload of 10-15 students. You'll have the unique opportunity to build meaningful relationships and foster student growth within a welcoming team.

Your expertise in Special Education will empower students to reach their full potential. This position is fully onsite, working 37.5 hours per week through the end of the school year, with primary responsibilities including differentiated instruction, collaboration with educational teams, and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).

Qualifications:

• Active and valid Special Education Teacher licensure
• Previous experience in an elementary setting preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proven ability to collaborate with staff, families, and related service providers
• Adaptable and committed to student-centered teaching practices

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and instruct a caseload of 10-15 elementary students with individualized needs
• Develop, implement, and update IEPs in accordance with state regulations
• Work closely with general education teachers and support staff to foster inclusion
• Monitor and document student progress, providing regular updates to families and teams
• Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required
