Exciting contract opportunities are available for passionate Special Education Teachers and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) in a warm, supportive district nestled in the northern suburbs of Denver. This smaller district, serving approximately 7,000 students across 16 sites, fosters a welcoming environment that values both new graduates and seasoned professionals.
Multiple positions are available, including:
- Special Education Generalist/Resource Teachers (Mild-Moderate Needs) at both high school and K-8 settings, managing caseloads of 30-40 students.
- Inclusive Learning Community (ILC) Center-Based Teachers supporting students with moderate to severe needs, including autism spectrum disorder and developmental delays, with smaller caseloads of 10 students.
Start dates begin in late July 2026, continuing through the end of May 2027, with full-time hours (37.5/week) across a range of grade levels (K-12). The district ensures robust support for contractors, including CPI training, and a friendly interview process—starting with a brief virtual meeting, followed by a panel interview (either in person or virtually, if needed).
Qualifications:
- Valid CDE Special Education License or in active pursuit (updates on CDE progress appreciated).
- For SLP applicants: ASHA CCC required.
- Compassion, adaptability, and readiness to collaborate within dynamic school teams.
- CPI training is valued; district-provided training available.
- Experience with different classroom settings and disability categories (autism spectrum or developmental delays) is advantageous.
