Make a lasting impact in the lives of students by supporting their unique learning journeys as a Special Education Teacher in the vibrant North Denver area. Multiple contract positions are open across elementary, K-8, and high school campuses. Assignments include both full-time and part-time roles, each focused on building life skills, nurturing development, and helping students with a range of disabilities thrive in structured learning environments.
In these positions, you’ll collaborate onsite with a supportive team, including paraprofessionals and other specialists, working closely with students in self-contained or semi-contained classrooms. Most classrooms are divided by age group (K-2nd, 2nd-5th) and typically serve 8-15 students.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education Certification with a Special Education endorsement
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with significant autism and emotional or behavioral needs
- Familiarity with AAC devices for non-verbal students strongly preferred
- Solid background in de-escalating unsafe behaviors and implementing data-driven interventions
- Comfortable working with and managing adult team members
- Experience in Structured Learning Services, Significant Support Needs, or comparable programs beneficial

- Promote and reinforce life skills to enhance daily school routines and social integration
- Utilize effective data collection, progress monitoring, and goal-setting strategies
- Foster a safe, positive, and structured learning environment
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff
- Support families in understanding and advocating for their child’s needs
Openings include:
- Three full-time positions (37.5 hours/week)
- Two part-time (.5 FTE) positions
