You’ll work with high school caseloads, focusing on mild to moderate special education needs, and help lead a Self-Contained Significant Support Needs (SSN) program. Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license required
- Demonstrated success or training in special education settings, specifically with high school students
- Experience working with students with mild or moderate disabilities strongly preferred
- Familiarity with running an SSN (Significant Support Needs) program beneficial
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with IEP development, implementation, and monitoring
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to high school students in special education, ensuring curriculum accessibility and student growth
- Develop and implement IEPs, setting measurable goals and tracking progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success
- Provide classroom management and positive behavioral supports
- Maintain accurate student records and ensure regulatory compliance
