Empower high school students to reach their full potential as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic and supportive setting. You’ll work with high school caseloads, focusing on mild to moderate special education needs, and help lead a Self-Contained Significant Support Needs (SSN) program. Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license required
  • Demonstrated success or training in special education settings, specifically with high school students
  • Experience working with students with mild or moderate disabilities strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with running an SSN (Significant Support Needs) program beneficial
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with IEP development, implementation, and monitoring

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction to high school students in special education, ensuring curriculum accessibility and student growth
  • Develop and implement IEPs, setting measurable goals and tracking progress
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success
  • Provide classroom management and positive behavioral supports
  • Maintain accurate student records and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to a team-oriented educational community
