Qualifications:
- Active CDE (Colorado Department of Education) license in Special Education (required)
- Prior experience teaching students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage classrooms and behavior proactively
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs
- Adapt instructional materials and methods for diverse learning styles and abilities
- Create a supportive, structured environment that encourages student growth
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and parents to maximize student success
- Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and parent conferences
