Multiple full-time, on-site positions are available for Learning Specialists and Special Education Teachers in elementary schools located in the greater Littleton, CO area. Assignments start 7/27/26 and run through 5/21/27, with each educator assigned to a single campus. The district offers a highly supportive environment and values collaborative personalities who work well with fellow service providers.
Available assignments include:
- Learning Specialist (Mild/Moderate) roles at Arapahoe Ridge Elementary and Woodglen Elementary (students needing learning support in a mild/moderate capacity)
- Affective Needs position at Cherry Drive Elementary: working with students with significant emotional/behavioral disabilities, leading a small team of paraprofessionals. Experience with CPI, de-escalation, ABA, and autism, as well as FBA and BIP, are strongly preferred
- Structured Learning Services at Hunters Glen Elementary: supporting students with severe cognitive and behavioral disabilities in a self-contained setting, coordinating with speech, OT, and psych providers
Qualifications:
- Current Colorado Department of Education Teacher license with Special Education Generalist (5-21) endorsement
- Experience in special education or as a learning specialist in elementary schools
- Strong skills in collaboration, organization, and communication
- Specialized experience (for certain assignments): Familiarity with behavioral interventions, ABA, CPI, Denver model, autism, FBA/BIP experience preferred
- Willingness to complete district credentialing requirements prior to start
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to students with IEPs
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans and behavioral support strategies
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, service providers, and paraprofessionals
- Maintain required documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings
