Qualifications:
- Current Colorado Teaching License required
- Special Education Generalist Endorsement for Ages 5-21
- Prior experience with elementary-aged children is highly preferred
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and tailor learning strategies to meet individual needs
- Must complete a district contractor packet swiftly as part of credentialing
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Affective Needs Teacher for elementary students, focusing on developing strategies and supports tailored to social, emotional, and behavioral learning
- Plan and implement individualized educational programs in alignment with state and district standards
- Work closely with families, instructional aides, related service providers, and school staff to create an inclusive environment
- Maintain accurate records, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings and professional collaboration
- Adapt and modify curriculum to best support each learner’s full potential
