Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification/license for Colorado
• Previous experience working in a special education classroom setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP process and progress monitoring
• Comfortable adapting curriculum to various learner needs
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
• Passionate about advocating for students with diverse learning abilities

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver personalized instruction to support students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Write, implement, and track progress toward goals outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and school administrators to provide inclusive educational experiences
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and support needed at home
• Create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
• Adapt resources and use assistive technology as needed
