Make an impact in the lives of young learners as a Bilingual Early Childhood Special Education professional working with a supportive school community in the Littleton, CO area. This contract position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a district-level evaluation team while serving diverse early childhood populations.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting bilingual Child Find evaluations at multiple school and district locations, including North Star Elementary and Centennial Elementary
- Collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to identify educational needs and support plans for young children
- Providing expertise in early childhood special education assessments, eligibility, and intervention recommendations
- Traveling between two or more sites within the district as needed for evaluations and meetings
- Supporting district-level evaluation initiatives to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Maintaining clear documentation and timely communication for evaluation processes and recommendations
Desired qualifications:
- Current Colorado Department of Education Teaching License with Early Childhood Special Education endorsement
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English required for effective communication with students and families
- Experience with early childhood special education assessments, preferably in a school or district setting
- Skilled in multidisciplinary collaboration and culturally responsive practices
- Flexible and organized; able to travel between multiple locations as assigned
- Familiarity with district-level or Child Find evaluation processes highly valued
Assignment begins ASAP and continues through late May, with full-time hours (37.5 hours per week) and the potential to serve at multiple schools and district sites.
