Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Current and valid teaching license in Special Education.
• Experience working with middle and/or high school students, preferably in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
• Adaptability and resourcefulness in tailoring instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans based on students’ unique needs.
• Implement and monitor IEPs, documenting student progress and meeting required compliance standards.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports social, emotional, and academic growth.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school support staff, and administration to coordinate accommodations and interventions.
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and classroom updates.
• Participate in faculty meetings, team planning sessions, and professional development as required.
