What you bring:

• Valid CDE Special Education (SPED) License with Generalist Endorsement (license must be in process or held; substitutes/temp licenses not eligible)
• Experience working with middle school students preferred
• In-depth understanding of teaching, instructional practices, special designed instruction, strategies, and knowledge supporting students on alternative standards
• Extensive experience with the IEP process and the importance of IEP team collaboration
• Not open to remote, hybrid, or virtual assignments

Your responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality special education instruction in a middle school environment
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the specific needs of students
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team
