About the Role

This virtual Special Education Teacher role supports K–12 students across New Hampshire through remote instruction and IEP-based services. The position focuses on delivering specially designed instruction, maintaining compliance, and collaborating with school teams in a structured, school-based virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual special education instruction aligned with student IEP goals

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families

• Track student progress and maintain accurate, compliant documentation

• Participate in virtual IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and team consultations

• Support accommodations, modifications, and instructional planning

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Special Education or related field

• Active New Hampshire Special Education teaching certification

• School-based special education experience preferred

• Strong understanding of IEP development and compliance

• Experience providing instruction in a virtual or remote setting preferred

• Teaching certification may be required depending on district.
