Special Education Teacher in Lockport, NY

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning abilities.
• Manage and organize an elementary caseload effectively to ensure all students receive appropriate services.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and special education laws.
