Special Education Teacher - Loganville, Georgia

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted instruction utilizing the GNETS framework for middle school students.
• Create, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to diverse academic and behavioral needs.
• Apply positive behavior supports and effective intervention strategies.
• Work in partnership with administrators, families, and related service providers.
• Track and document student growth, ensuring compliance and progress.
• Differentiate instruction confidently across all core academic subjects.
• Maintain a structured, safe, and encouraging classroom atmosphere.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Georgia Special Education General Curriculum Certification in all content areas.
• Demonstrated knowledge of classroom management and behavioral intervention techniques.
• Proven experience developing, writing, and implementing IEPs.
• Completion of three reference checks, including one from a recent supervisor.
• Preferred: Prior experience in GNETS or similar alternative settings, and with students exhibiting emotional/behavioral challenges.
• CPI, de-escalation, or behavior management training a plus.
