Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction utilizing the GNETS framework for middle school students.
- Create, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to diverse academic and behavioral needs.
- Apply positive behavior supports and effective intervention strategies.
- Work in partnership with administrators, families, and related service providers.
- Track and document student growth, ensuring compliance and progress.
- Differentiate instruction confidently across all core academic subjects.
- Maintain a structured, safe, and encouraging classroom atmosphere.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Special Education General Curriculum Certification in all content areas.
- Demonstrated knowledge of classroom management and behavioral intervention techniques.
- Proven experience developing, writing, and implementing IEPs.
- Completion of three reference checks, including one from a recent supervisor.
- Preferred: Prior experience in GNETS or similar alternative settings, and with students exhibiting emotional/behavioral challenges.
- CPI, de-escalation, or behavior management training a plus.
