Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized, differentiated instruction to students in the GNETS program
  • Develop, revise, and implement IEP goals, accommodations, and progress monitoring
  • Apply evidence-based behavioral interventions and positive supports
  • Maintain ongoing communication and teamwork with administrators, related service providers, and families
  • Document student growth and compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Foster a safe, supportive environment that encourages academic, social, and emotional development
  • Adapt teaching strategies across all content areas: Reading, Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Valid Georgia Special Education General Curriculum Certification
  • Certified in Reading, Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies (must provide documentation)
  • Expertise in behavior intervention strategies and classroom management
  • Proven experience writing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
  • Three completed reference checks prior to interviewing (including a recent supervisor reference)

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in GNETS settings or alternative education
  • Experience with students exhibiting significant behavioral or emotional disorders
  • CPI, de-escalation, or other behavior management credentials are a plus
