Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction using adapted curriculum standards tailored to each student's needs.
- Design, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Manage daily classroom routines and support systems to ensure a structured, positive learning environment.
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to maximize student success.
- Collect and assess student data to drive instructional decisions and measure progress.
- Differentiate teaching strategies to meet a wide spectrum of learning profiles.
- Support the development of student communication, social, behavioral, and functional living skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Georgia Special Education certification is required.
- Proven background working with elementary students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a classroom setting.
- Hands-on experience developing and carrying out IEPs.
- Strong classroom management and effective behavior intervention skills.
- Preferred: Experience in adapted curriculum instruction, ABA principles, structured teaching models, visual supports, and functional communication systems.
- Familiarity with supervising paraprofessionals in a self-contained environment is a plus.
