Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Previous experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet varied learning needs
  • Passion for fostering growth and confidence in children with diverse abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and support to students on your caseload, ensuring accommodations and modifications align with each IEP
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to create a welcoming and inclusive classroom
  • Maintain accurate student records, monitor progress, and update documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Provide ongoing encouragement, structure, and behavior management
  • Participate in staff meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
