Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet varied learning needs
- Passion for fostering growth and confidence in children with diverse abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students on your caseload, ensuring accommodations and modifications align with each IEP
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to create a welcoming and inclusive classroom
- Maintain accurate student records, monitor progress, and update documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Provide ongoing encouragement, structure, and behavior management
- Participate in staff meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
