This position seeks a Special Education Teacher for an elementary school setting serving 4th and 5th grade students with mild to moderate disabilities. The role is based onsite in Longmont, Colorado, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The contract runs from February 12, 2026, through May 21, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with mild to moderate disabilities in grades 4 and 5.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student learning and inclusion.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as needed.
Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education Special Education certification.
- Experience teaching students with mild to moderate disabilities, preferably at the elementary grade level.
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and inclusive education practices.
- Ability to manage a full-time caseload and work collaboratively within a school team.
- Immediate availability for a full-time contract position.
Location:
- Elementary school in Longmont, Colorado, within the Denver area.
Additional Details:
- Fingerprinting and district-required credentialing will be coordinated upon hire.
- Candidates must be available for on-site work.
