Special Education Teacher - Longmont, CO

Key Qualifications:

• Must hold, or be in the process of obtaining, an active CDE license (required for consideration)
• At least one year of classroom teaching experience, specifically in special education
• Ability to thrive as a flexible team player
• Demonstrated commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction to students receiving special education resource services
• Develop and implement IEPs, working closely with general education and special services teams
• Track and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
• Attend required meetings and contribute to school initiatives
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all legal/regulatory guidelines

Role Details:

• Full-time, onsite position at a middle school resource setting
• Work schedule: 37.5 hours weekly (includes 2.5 unpaid lunch hours; 35 hours paid)
• Contract dates: August 4, 2026, through May 21, 2027
