Key Qualifications:
- Must hold, or be in the process of obtaining, an active CDE license (required for consideration)
- At least one year of classroom teaching experience, specifically in special education
- Ability to thrive as a flexible team player
- Demonstrated commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction to students receiving special education resource services
- Develop and implement IEPs, working closely with general education and special services teams
- Track and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
- Attend required meetings and contribute to school initiatives
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all legal/regulatory guidelines
Role Details:
- Full-time, onsite position at a middle school resource setting
- Work schedule: 37.5 hours weekly (includes 2.5 unpaid lunch hours; 35 hours paid)
- Contract dates: August 4, 2026, through May 21, 2027
