Qualifications:

  • Fluent bilingual skills in Spanish and English are required to bridge communication and better serve students and families.
  • Valid CDE license or active progress toward licensure is essential (be prepared to provide supporting documentation).
  • Minimum of one year of classroom teaching experience, specifically working with special education populations.
  • Strong collaborator who thrives as part of a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
  • Adaptable, with a growth mindset and commitment to meeting the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and interventions in accordance with students’ IEPs as part of the resource caseload in an elementary school setting.
  • Collaborate closely with general educators, specialists, and families to create supportive, personalized learning plans.
  • Use data-driven decision-making to monitor student growth and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain up-to-date records, IEP documentation, and compliance with all district and state mandates.
  • Foster a positive, accommodating class environment that values each student’s strengths and encourages progress.
