Key Qualifications:

  • Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education teaching license (SPED)
  • Experience with elementary-aged students preferred
  • Skilled in creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities
  • Commitment to fostering an encouraging, structured, and supportive learning environment

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide direct instruction and differentiated support for students with mild to moderate needs
  • Develop, write, and carry out effective, targeted IEPs
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related services staff, and families
  • Monitor student progress, assess learning needs, and adapt strategies to maximize student success
  • Foster inclusion, social/emotional growth, and self-advocacy skills in every learner
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and local requirements

Position Details:

  • 34 hours per week, onsite at the elementary school, Tuesday through Friday (no school Mondays)
  • School starts at 7:30am and finishes at 4:30pm, giving you a consistent and predictable schedule
  • Work the full academic year, starting August 20, 2026, through June 3, 2027
  • Mild/moderate caseload in a supportive elementary setting
