Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with significant needs in a vibrant elementary setting. As an onsite Special Education Teacher, you’ll collaborate closely with educators and families to empower learners and create an inclusive, positive classroom environment.

Your assignment runs during the academic year from August 20, 2026, to June 3, 2027, working 34 hours weekly, Tuesday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Enjoy long weekends with Mondays regularly scheduled off. Located near Longmont, this role focuses on serving students with Significant Support Needs (SSN) in a dedicated elementary resource environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and current CDE Special Education licensure required
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher (SSN experience preferred)
  • Proven ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Comfortable working onsite within a busy school community

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instructional and behavioral support for students with significant needs
  • Develop, adapt, and implement effective lesson plans based on IEP goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
  • Track and report student progress using data-driven methods
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to promote student independence and success
  • Uphold school policies and procedures to ensure student safety and well-being
