Special Education Teacher | Longmont, Colorado

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education licensure required
• Previous experience managing mild/moderate special education caseloads at the elementary level preferred
• Strong collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to student needs
• Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and support to students identified with mild to moderate disabilities
• Assess student skills and needs, setting measurable goals through IEPs
• Coordinate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure inclusion and progress toward learning objectives
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required reporting in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Participate in parent meetings, professional development, and school staff activities
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
