Special Education Teacher - Longmont, CO

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by taking on a full-time, onsite contract as a Special Education Teacher for an elementary resource classroom near Longmont, CO. You’ll be working throughout the 2026-2027 academic year, from January through May, within a supportive elementary setting. As a valued member of the school’s special education team, you’ll provide direct instruction and intervention, help manage individualized education programs (IEPs), and foster an inclusive, positive learning atmosphere.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active CDE (Colorado Department of Education) license, or proof of licensure in process (required to interview)
• Experience or commitment to working with elementary-aged students in special education
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to diverse student needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong commitment to being a flexible team player

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide resource instruction and support for a caseload of elementary students with diverse needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, families, and support staff
• Track student progress and maintain thorough, timely documentation
• Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment
