Embark on a rewarding role working with elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic and supportive academic environment. This is a full-time, onsite contract position extending through June 11, 2027. You’ll play an instrumental part in developing individualized educational plans, fostering growth for students with a variety of disabilities, and collaborating with a dedicated multidisciplinary team. Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State Special Education Teacher Certification (required)
  • Proven experience working with elementary-aged children with diverse disabilities
  • Solid understanding of IEP processes and compliance requirements
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
  • Flexibility, empathy, and patience in adapting to varied student needs
  • Ability to create inclusive, positive, and engaging classroom environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction that meets each student’s IEP goals
  • Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust strategies as needed
  • Employ evidence-based techniques to promote academic and social success
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student integration and growth
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
  • Cultivate a safe, respectful, and encouraging learning space for all students
