Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching certification in the state of Minnesota
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
  • Previous experience working with students in grades 6-8 preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
  • Utilize differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with all federal, state, and school requirements
  • Engage parents and guardians in their child’s education through regular communication
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student growth and confidence
