Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification in the state of Minnesota
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Previous experience working with students in grades 6-8 preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
- Utilize differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional plans as needed
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all federal, state, and school requirements
- Engage parents and guardians in their child’s education through regular communication
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student growth and confidence
