Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification required
- Appropriate state licensure for elementary and/or middle school levels
- Previous experience supporting students in inclusion settings preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and parents
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction to students in kindergarten through 4th grade (approximately 10 students) within an inclusion classroom model
- Co-manage an inclusion caseload of approximately 29 middle school students (7th and 8th grade), with responsibilities split with another educator
- Provide both in-class support and pull-out instruction for small groups, adapting lessons to meet individual student needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), monitoring progress and adjusting goals as necessary
- Maintain clear communication with staff members and families regarding student growth, needs, and successes
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and school initiatives that support diverse learners
