Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification and state licensure
- Experience working in elementary, middle, or high school environments
- Strong knowledge of individualized learning plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt lessons and approaches to meet the diverse needs of learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and assess individualized education programs for students with special needs
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in individual and small group settings across grade levels
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to student progress and compliance matters
- Partner with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Monitor and foster a positive, structured classroom environment for optimal learning
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert input to student planning and evaluation
- Support students emotionally and academically, helping build confidence and independence
