Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification and state licensure
  • Experience working in elementary, middle, or high school environments
  • Strong knowledge of individualized learning plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to adapt lessons and approaches to meet the diverse needs of learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and assess individualized education programs for students with special needs
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in individual and small group settings across grade levels
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to student progress and compliance matters
  • Partner with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
  • Monitor and foster a positive, structured classroom environment for optimal learning
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert input to student planning and evaluation
  • Support students emotionally and academically, helping build confidence and independence
