Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher credentials in Colorado
- Demonstrated experience working with IEPs and implementing individualized plans
- Flexibility to support K-12 students across different classroom environments (self-contained/resource)
- Ability to fulfill all regular responsibilities of a Special Education Teacher
- Strong work ethic, growth-oriented mindset, and a positive, collaborative approach
- Excellent communication and organizational skills for partnership with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and track progress on IEPs in accordance with state and district guidelines
- Deliver targeted instruction and interventions in either resource or self-contained classrooms
- Collaborate with general education staff and support personnel to ensure inclusive practices and student success
- Monitor and report on student progress, adapting strategies and supports as needed
- Engage actively in IEP meetings, family conferences, and team discussions
- Foster a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment for all students
