An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support K-8 students in an elementary school setting, focusing on a small group of 9 students. This contract position spans from August 25, 2025, to June 23, 2026, providing full-time hours during the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in ELA and Math through pull-out sessions tailored to individual student needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with moderate disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive learning experiences
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary
- Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment that fosters student growth
Qualifications:
- Valid K-8 Moderate Disabilities teaching license is required
- Experience working with K-8 students in special education settings
- Strong knowledge of ELA and Math curriculum and instructional techniques
- Ability to manage small groups effectively and differentiate instruction
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
