Special Education Teacher in Lowell, MA

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support K-8 students in an elementary school setting, focusing on a small group of 9 students. This contract position spans from August 25, 2025, to June 23, 2026, providing full-time hours during the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction in ELA and Math through pull-out sessions tailored to individual student needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with moderate disabilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive learning experiences
• Monitor and document student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary
• Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment that fosters student growth

Qualifications:

• Valid K-8 Moderate Disabilities teaching license is required
• Experience working with K-8 students in special education settings
• Strong knowledge of ELA and Math curriculum and instructional techniques
• Ability to manage small groups effectively and differentiate instruction
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
