This contract position begins August 25, 2026, and extends through June 2027, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, supporting a small caseload of 5–8 students in a self-contained classroom setting for grades PK–2.

In this role, you will provide individualized instruction and comprehensive care to students facing severe, multiple, physical, medical, and global delays. As their dedicated educator and advocate, your support extends beyond academics to encompass full personal care, including diaper changing and assisting with daily living skills.

Qualifications:

  • Active and valid MA Special Education License is required
  • Previous experience working with students with severe and multiple disabilities (preferred)
  • Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and the ability to implement them effectively
  • Strong skills in providing personal care and full support for physical, medical, and mobility needs
  • Compassionate, patient approach and outstanding communication with students, families, and team members

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver differentiated, engaging instruction based on each child’s unique needs
  • Oversee personal care, including diaper changing and hygiene support for students
  • Collaborate closely with support staff, therapists, and school professionals
  • Document progress, adapt strategies, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Cultivate a nurturing, safe, and inclusive environment for all learners
