  • Valid Special Education Teaching certification for Massachusetts or eligibility to obtain
  • Experience in self-contained, co-teaching, and/or resource classroom settings preferred
  • Demonstrated skill in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Proficiency in IEP writing and case management, including progress reporting
  • Strong collaboration skills with teachers, families, and support professionals
  • Ability to adapt instruction to address a range of student needs and learning styles

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction to meet IEP goals for students with varying exceptionalities
  • Manage IEP development, including assessments, documentation, and stakeholder communication
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and co-teaching best practices
  • Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that encourages academic and social growth
  • Engage in regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress
  • Participate in meetings, professional development, and multidisciplinary teams as needed
