Special Education Teacher - Luling, Louisiana

This full-time, onsite opportunity is based at an elementary school serving diverse learners and offers the chance to gain experience in a supportive educational environment. You will work closely with students, families, and school staff to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere, delivering individualized instruction and interventions that foster academic and personal success.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Educator Certificate required
• Preferred: Special Education Educator Certificate; Elementary 1-5 Certificate considered
• Comfortable adapting to any classroom or student support setting
• Passion for helping children develop academically and emotionally
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Modify curriculum materials to meet the unique needs of each student
• Provide direct instruction and small group or one-on-one support
• Track and document student progress; maintain accurate records
• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, support personnel, and families
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
