Special Education Teacher | Macungie, Pennsylvania

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher within an Early Intervention program dedicated to supporting young learners ages 3–5. This full-time, classroom-based contract position offers an opportunity to nurture developmental growth and provide individualized instruction for preschool-aged students with disabilities.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or Early Childhood Education
• Active Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Special Education (SPED)
• Experience working with young children ages 3–5, particularly those diagnosed with disabilities, is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with educational best practices in early intervention and inclusive classrooms

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each child's unique strengths and needs
• Create a positive, engaging classroom environment that fosters growth and development in foundational skills
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, families, and school leadership to ensure continuity of care and instruction
• Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district requirements for special education programs

Role Requirements:

• Completion of all PA-standard screenings including drug screening, PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Police Criminal History, and FBI fingerprinting as part of the hiring process
