Apply NowSoliant is seeking an experienced and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support students during the 2026–2027 school year. We are currently hiring for 1 full-time position serving preschool and elementary students in a combined Special Preschool and Learning Disabilities setting near Madison, IN.
This opportunity is ideal for an Indiana-certified educator who is passionate about creating supportive, inclusive learning environments and helping students with diverse learning needs achieve their academic and developmental goals.
Assignment Details
School Year: 2026–2027
Duration: August 10, 2026 – May 26, 2027
Schedule: Full-Time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Setting: School-based, Onsite
Position: Special Preschool/Learning Disabilities Teacher
- Preschool PK classroom support in the mornings, Tuesday–Friday
- Elementary Learning Disabilities support in the afternoons, Monday–Friday
- Elementary LD support all day on Mondays
- Ready to interview ASAP
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized instruction based on student needs and IEP goals.
- Provide specialized academic, behavioral, and developmental support.
- Support preschool and elementary students in building academic, social, and functional skills.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized education plans.
- Maintain accurate student documentation and progress data.
- Create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Indiana teaching certification in an Exceptional Needs area covering the preschool school setting.
- Ability to work full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with preschool and/or elementary special education students.
- Experience supporting students with learning disabilities.
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary school teams.
