Qualifications:

  • Valid Indiana Special Education Teacher certification in any Exceptional Needs area suitable for school settings, specifically covering preschool.
  • Experience working with preschool through elementary age children (PK–elementary).
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to individualized education and supporting diverse learners.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Special Preschool/Learning Disabilities Teacher supporting both preschool (PK) and elementary students with learning disabilities.
  • Preschool instruction occurs mornings Tuesday through Friday; afternoons (Monday through Friday) focus on elementary LD, with all-day Mondays also dedicated to elementary learning disabilities coverage.
  • Design and implement lesson plans tailored to each student's IEP.
  • Foster inclusive, supportive classroom environments.
  • Collaborate with parents, specialists, and staff to ensure student progress.
