This onsite, contract role focuses on delivering special education services on a homebound basis, helping a student achieve success and progress throughout the school year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Certified Special Education Teacher with relevant licensure in Texas
  • Experience supporting elementary-aged students, especially in self-contained or life skills settings
  • Knowledge of homebound teaching best practices and ability to tailor instruction to meet specific IEP goals
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with parents, support staff, and administration
  • Patience, adaptability, and a true passion for serving students with diverse learning needs

What You'll Do:

  • Provide 4 hours of instructional homebound services per week, plus 2 hours focused on compensatory instruction
  • Develop and implement lesson plans based on the student's IEP, ensuring content is accessible and engaging
  • Track progress, complete necessary documentation, and communicate regularly with the student’s family and educational team
  • Maintain confidentiality and a positive, encouraging atmosphere for learning
  • Participate in relevant meetings and collaborate to adjust strategies as needed for student success
