Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher (SPED) license required
  • Experience or strong interest in working with life skills caseloads at high school and elementary levels
  • Adaptability and positive collaboration within educational teams
  • Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Commitment to supporting social, emotional, and academic growth for every student

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Special Education Teacher for one of three positions (two at high school level, one at elementary) focusing on life skills caseloads
  • Design and deliver individualized instruction geared to diverse learning abilities and needs
  • Ensure compliance with special education laws and IEP mandates
  • Partner with classroom teachers, aides, and specialists for optimal student outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent communications, and team planning sessions
  • Track student progress and update goals as needed
  • Maintain detailed records in accordance with district policies
