Special Education Teacher - Mahomet, IL

This opportunity is suited for professionals with an LBS1 endorsement and Early Childhood certification, ready to engage fully during a 40-hour workweek. The role begins with professional development August 13th–17th, followed by the start of the academic year on August 18th, setting you up for a successful and well-prepared transition into the classroom.

Qualifications:

• Valid LBS1 credential with Early Childhood certification required
• Experience serving K-8th grade students, especially those who are neurodiverse
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive education
• Ability to adapt instructional materials and strategies to diverse learning styles

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction tailored to the needs of neurodiverse learners
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and monitor progress
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive student support
• Create a positive, engaging classroom atmosphere focused on growth and inclusion
• Participate in professional development and ongoing training
