This opportunity offers two specialized openings for skilled Special Education Teachers: one with a standard LBS1 certification, and one with Early Childhood certification. You'll be part of a dynamic educational setting providing targeted support and instruction to a small caseload of fewer than 10 students.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement; or PEL with Early Childhood Special Education endorsement (as applicable)
- Previous experience working with K-8 neurodiverse learners preferred
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and interventions adapted for neurodiverse students
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with school teams and families
- Employ a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Track student progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Engage in professional development August 13-17; support students from August 18 onward
- Actively collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enhance student success
