As a Special Education Teacher on a contract basis, you'll deliver personalized instruction and foster an inclusive classroom environment in partnership with fellow educators and staff.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification in Special Education (state credentials required)
  • Experience working with students with varying abilities and diverse backgrounds
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging students, families, and colleagues
  • Adaptability and resourcefulness when working with evolving student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and academic support tailored to individual IEP objectives
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to develop and adapt curriculum materials
  • Manage progress monitoring and maintain accurate education records and documentation
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and ongoing student assessment
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that encourages student growth
  • Communicate consistently with families to keep them informed and involved in students' academic journeys
