Position Overview
This remote case manager role typically involves 35-37.5 hours per week, supporting a caseload of approximately 45-55 students across elementary and middle school grade levels. You'll serve as the primary coordinator for student services, managing IEPs, facilitating team meetings, and ensuring compliance with special education regulations. The virtual format allows you to work efficiently while maintaining strong connections with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Primary Responsibilities
Your day-to-day work will center on comprehensive case management including developing and maintaining IEPs, coordinating evaluation processes, scheduling and leading virtual IEP meetings, monitoring student progress toward goals, ensuring procedural compliance with state and federal regulations, collaborating with teachers and related service providers, maintaining accurate documentation and timelines, communicating regularly with parents and guardians, and supporting smooth transitions between grade levels or programs. You'll use virtual platforms to conduct meetings, track student data, and maintain organized case files.
Essential Qualifications
Candidates must hold an active New Hampshire special education or case manager licensure, possess a Master's degree in special education or related field, and have at least 2 years of experience working in school settings. Strong organizational skills and attention to regulatory timelines are critical. Experience with virtual case management platforms and video conferencing tools is important, as is the ability to build rapport with families and teams in a remote environment. Excellent written communication skills are essential for developing clear, compliant IEPs and maintaining thorough documentation.
Technical Requirements
Successful candidates need a reliable home internet connection, a quiet workspace conducive to confidential meetings, and proficiency with standard office software and virtual meeting platforms. You'll need to be comfortable learning new case management systems and adapting to various school district platforms.
