In this role, you’ll work with a manageable caseload of 15 students, empowering them to achieve academic and personal growth. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with classroom teachers, ensuring every student receives just what they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of IEPs, making certain that accommodations and modifications are effective and up to date
  • Coordinate annual IEP reviews and contribute to updating plans after student evaluations
  • Push into math and language arts classrooms, supporting student success in an inclusive environment
  • Lead a small group class for special education students, focusing on targeted instruction—typically a group of about 5 learners
  • Teach an Academic Skills class designed to strengthen students’ executive functioning and work toward IEP goals
  • Foster a positive, supportive environment while collaborating with educators, counselors, and families

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current certification in Special Education or eligibility to obtain relevant licensure
  • Experience working with middle schoolers in a special education capacity
  • Solid understanding of developing, implementing, and updating IEPs
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs
  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for helping students reach their potential
  • Strong organizational skills for tracking documentation and progress
