Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary learners as a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This full-time contract position offers the chance to make a lasting difference in the lives of young students through personalized instruction and compassionate care. Four Early Childhood Special Education professionals are needed to join a collaborative school environment, working closely with other educators, families, and support staff.

In this role, you’ll manage an elementary caseload, providing individualized support that empowers each student to thrive. The assignment runs from August 2026 through June 2027, offering a structured weekly schedule of 32.5 to 37.5 hours.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Special Education Teacher certification (SPED Cert required; dual certification is no longer necessary)
  • Previous experience working with early childhood or elementary-age students
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and monitoring
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to create inclusive, supportive learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of students with diverse abilities
  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers, therapists, and administration
  • Foster positive relationships with students, inspiring confidence and enthusiasm for learning
  • Support emotional, behavioral, and academic growth in students on your caseload
