Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) for the state of New Hampshire
  • Experience working with elementary students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong background in case management, IEP development, and implementation
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with colleagues, families, and support staff
  • Adaptability in managing a caseload of approximately 15 students across two school buildings
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaged classroom culture

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to 2nd and 5th grade special education students
  • Manage case files, develop, implement, and monitor student IEPs
  • Coordinate with classroom teachers, specialists, and related service providers to support student learning
  • Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings
  • Collect data and document student progress to inform ongoing instructional planning
  • Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines for special education
