Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid 461 TN special education teaching license (required)
  • Experience with K-2nd grade students preferred
  • Background in self-contained classroom environments
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Passion for supporting diverse learners and collaborating with colleagues
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom culture

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction aligned with each student’s IEP
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, thorough records
  • Implement effective classroom management techniques
  • Adapt instructional methods to meet a spectrum of learning needs
  • Foster positive relationships with students, families, and school staff
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on student goals
