Exciting opportunities await passionate Special Education Teachers eager to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives! We are seeking multiple dedicated professionals for full-time contract roles during the August 2026 – May 2027 school year. You’ll work in a supportive school environment near Manhattan, IL, partnering with students and colleagues as you help learners reach their full potential.

We are currently interviewing for several key positions:

  • 6th-grade co-teaching role (projected caseload: 11), supporting students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and Other Health Impairments (OHI).
  • K-3rd grade direct instruction roles (two positions, projected caseload: 10 per teacher), working with students with a variety of exceptionalities: OHI, Autism (AUT), SLD, Intellectual Disabilities (ID), and Developmental Delays (DD).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification or ability to obtain certification for the assignment
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Expertise in co-teaching and/or direct instruction for students with diverse learning exceptionalities
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Demonstrated passion for helping students grow, encouraging self-advocacy, and creating inclusive learning environments

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Deliver instruction tailored to specific learning needs in co-teaching or direct instruction settings
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, service providers, and families
  • Utilize data-driven strategies to monitor progress and adapt teaching methods
