Elementary Communication and Social Development Special Education Teacher

Soliant is seeking a dedicated special education professional to join our team in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs. You’ll play a key part in creating inclusive, empowering educational experiences that help every learner succeed.

Responsibilities:

• Design Individualized Instruction — Develop and implement communication‑focused and social‑emotional learning plans for a caseload of 12 students, ensuring each learner receives targeted, evidence‑based support aligned with their IEP goals.
• Deliver Daily Specialized Support — Provide direct instruction, modeling, and guided practice in communication skills, peer interaction, emotional regulation, and functional social behaviors during the 8a–4:30p school day.
• Collaborate With Teams — Partner closely with families, related service providers, and general education staff to monitor progress, adjust strategies, and maintain consistent communication across school and home environments.
• Maintain Documentation and Compliance — Track student growth, complete required IEP documentation, and participate in meetings and data reviews to ensure all services are delivered with fidelity and in compliance with district and state guidelines.

Experience:

• Previous experience in schools preferred

Education:

• Requires a Colorado teaching license with a Special Education endorsement
