Key Qualifications:

• Possess an active Special Education teaching license or certification in Texas
• Hold certification in secondary math
• Demonstrated ability to create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, parents, and other professionals
• Experience working with high school students in a special education setting preferred
• Organized, adaptable, and dedicated to student success

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for high school students
• Provide direct instruction in both special education and secondary math content
• Modify curriculum and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Track and document student progress, maintaining accurate records
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain regular communication with families regarding student performance and goals
• Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture that encourages student engagement
