Special Education Teacher - Mansfield, Texas

Make a difference in the lives of middle school students as a resource English teacher in a dynamic school setting near Mansfield, TX. This full-time, onsite contract position focuses on providing essential support and high-impact instruction in English for grades 4-8, tailored specifically for students with diverse learning needs.

As part of this role, you’ll create a supportive classroom environment, plan effective lessons for small groups, and collaborate with both general and special education teams to ensure every learner’s success.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, active Texas Special Education Teacher certification (no holds)
• Content-area certification in Reading 4-8 or the equivalent (required)
• Experience teaching or supporting middle school students, particularly in a resource or special education setting
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction in reading and English Language Arts to students in a middle school resource setting
• Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to support individual learning objectives and IEPs
• Work closely with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to monitor progress and adjust strategies
• Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and participate in IEP meetings
• Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging atmosphere for all students
